For the latest version of Magic Poll Professional, we went back to the drawing board to design a survey application that had all of the things our customers have requested over the years, and then some. The main improvement is the ability to have an unlimited number of possible answers for your polls. Previous versions were limited to 8, and while this was adequate for many situations, as it was hard coded, it was very difficult to add more. Now you have the flexibility to create as many answers as you require.
In addition, you may now create polls that allow for multiple answers to be given. No longer are you restricted to simple Yes/No polls, but now you can gather several responses from your voters on a single question or subject. If needed, you may also restrict the number of answers that may be selected in a multiple choice poll. This new feature allows Magic Poll Professional to cover your survey needs more effectively than ever before and in many more polling situations.

Another improvement in this version is that all settings for a given Poll are now set in the admin area. All prior versions required that the settings be hard coded when using the magicpoll custom tag on an HTML page. This made making changes a bit more troublesome as the page would have had to be edited manually for each new poll. Now all changes can be made from within the admin area in seconds, and each poll may have its own unique settings.
While the poll question and results display have not visually changed from previous versions, the code behind them has been completely overhauled with faster loading and better error handling. Multiple polls can reside on the same page with no interaction, which is handy if you want to display the results from a series of polls at the same time. Also, the poll question and poll results can be loaded on different pages, allowing you to easily tailor your content to the votes given.

Once the votes have been cast, Magic Poll Professional makes it easy for you to see the results by using a Java graph applet. This applet allows totals to be seen in a more graphical manner, rather than just a bunch of numbers. Totals can be seen as a whole, by the week, by the day or even by the hour of the day. The applet also supports several different types of graphs, from pie charts to stacked bar graphs.
